The Doghouse Coffee – A Dog-Friendly Cafe with Cozy Vibes in Lapeer, MI

This place is amazing! I got an iced latte with foam and my husband got a cappuccino; they’re both so yummy! The barista that served us was super friendly and helpful too! The inside is really spacious and very cute! Prices are very fair as well. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

This is a really fun idea of a Cafe! I love that you can bring your dogs, it's really cute and different, never have seen a cafe like this around. I also love that it's a locally owned shop. The atmosphere is really fun and cute, warm and inviting. I got the snoopy. Was a really good Latte!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Doghouse Coffee is one of our favorite parts of the day! My husband and I stop by several times a week with our two dogs in tow to grab our go-to lattes—the Dalmatian and the Couch Potato—and of course, a cake pop or two. Most of the staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is always consistent. It’s the perfect way to wind down our evenings during the week, and we love starting our weekend mornings there before walking through downtown and the parks. A true local gem we’re so happy to have in Lapeer!

I have been coming here since they opened and they have come a long way! Ill be honest they weren't one of my favorites due to their generic coffee options at first, but over the years they have grown so much! They have added so many new options for beverages including seasonal drinks! They have limited food options which could be expanded, but still taste really good. Lots of seating for both people and animals. Great place! Visit several times a month!

Very cool place! Very nice they allow dogs inside. The names of the drinks are fun. I personally didn't care for my drink as much as I thought I would but that's ok. They are not for everyone. Definitely would be willing to try something else in the future.

My dog and I love Doghouse Coffee (and the location in Metamora)! The service is great and the coffee and baked goods are delicious. My dog loves her pup cups! A quiet, relaxed environment. Check it out--you won't be disappointed.

I stopped by Dog House Coffee on a cold, dreary day, and stepping inside felt like a warm hug. The interior is incredibly cozy and inviting—just the kind of atmosphere you need when the skies are gray. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and kindness, and they made me a fantastic cup of coffee. I ordered “The Side Eye,” a white chocolate mocha with raspberry, and it was absolutely delicious—sweet, rich, and perfectly balanced. I ended up staying a bit to get some work done and was pleasantly surprised at how peaceful the space was. Whether you're looking to focus on some tasks or meet a friend for a networking chat, it’s an ideal spot. Bonus: they sell their own coffee in single-serve cups for Keurig and similar machines, which is perfect if you want to bring a bit of the Dog House experience home. If you’re in or around Lapeer and love discovering great local coffee shops, Dog House Coffee is a must-stop. Highly recommended!

Large coffee shop with a variety of seating options. Dog friendly of course. Service is great. I got a coconut matcha with coconut milk. It wasn't quite sweet enough for me and they happily added a little more flavor and made it perfect! Mat a friend here and she tried a May drink special and said it was delish! They offer apparel and other merchandise to purchase, plus a variety of coffees. Great place to enjoy a drink, meet a friend, read a book or do some work. Glad Lapeer has a shop like this!
